At the June 9 meeting, our Calaveras County Board of Supervisors approved the financing for the new Animal Shelter by a unanimous 5-0 vote. With this decision, the decades-old fight to humanely treat the animals in our County has passed a major milestone. All the supporters of this cause should be gratified and proud. I thank you very much for your hard work.

So now, the process continues – to ensure responsible construction and operations, so we can properly take care of the homeless animals in our community. I will do all I can to make this project a success.
